Phil, where is Re-Education (Through Labor) by Rise Against. Their new album comes out Oct. 7th, you should pick it up! I am getting to see them twice in Toronto this weekend!!! Can't wait to see you back on the mound next season as we open the new stadium.

Gave time of dying a listen. definately going in my "before the game" playlist. good song to get you pumped for a game or even a pracice (too bad i gotta wait a bit till i get a scrimmage or actual game to play).. but still, loveing the songs, gotta give the rest a play.. P.O.D - goodbye for now .... awesome song, give it a try if you havent already, but most likely you have. it took me a while to track that song down. The melady was stuck in my head but I couldnt remeber the title to save my life lol

nyyankiers1 is right, the Knot album is by far their best effort. A solid disc from beginning to end. A must buy, download, steal, whatever. Just add it to your collection and you won't be disappointed.

Phil, My apologies if i come off obnoxious or as a spoiled brat, i assure you i am not, all i am is a disheartened fan.Phil Hughes: I have been a loyal fan since 2004, i followed you in the minors and watched as you became a major leaguer, i was at your very first game sitting behing home plate, you were and still are my favorite athlete, but my only complaint, it is extremely hard to connect with you. I have followed your blog from wordpress, when people used to say you were no good, i defended you at every turn. I'm 14 and every dayI'm sick i try to get in touch with you, i followed your blog to yardbarker, i requested you on facebook i emailed you, and in each email or comment, all i ask for is a response, just a "hey kid, great to know your a fan" and that would make my year, I admire you, but you never responded, now i understand you're very busy, but i emailed CC Sabathia a month back and i didnt even ask him for a response and it took a month, but sure enough, a month later he wrote back, just a smiley face, with "CC" under it, and i went into school the next day and braggedto all my friends, i just wosh you could do the same, because i like you as an athlete and role model 10x more than i could ever like him...

Hey Dude. I don't know how crazy your schedule is with the Fall League and everything. But Alkaline Trio, Thrice, Gaslight Anthem and Rise Against are all on tour together. I'm sure it's making it's way out west in a few weeks.

Nice playlist, I listen to much of the same genre. Shinedown happens to be my favorite band (or a close second to Rise Against).

Speaking of Rise Against their new CD "Appeal to Reason" just came out October 7th, you should check it out.

I'm a lifelong Yankee fan and a huge baseball fan in general. This is why I'm doing my psychology honors thesis on quantifying clutch performance in baseball. Although I am only rating hitters at the moment, if I can validate this scale I hope to move onto adding more teams and also doing some pitching statistics. It would be a huge help if anyone could take my survey! Also, if anyone has feedback about it, I'd love to hear it! Here's some background info:
What is "clutch"? What players are considered "clutch" performers? What players are "gritty" or have natural talent? Are these players also "clutch"? These frequently cited terms in the game of baseball have never been objectively studied, but I am trying to change that. I'm a University of Pennsylvania psychology student who is doing an honors thesis about clutch performance in baseball. I have created a survey asking about some Major League players' characteristics and it would be great if some of you, being huge baseball fans, could fill it out! It should only take a maximum of 10 minutes. Also, I would love to hear any comments that you have about my survey! Thanks so much for all your help!
