NHL bets: Three plus-money bets for Tuesday, Feb. 27

We had a forgettable evening on the ice to start to our week, and now it's all about finding some steady ground in the NHL prop market. We've got just the ticket for Tuesday's slate, focused on a few spots of interest that seem inviting for goals scored.

1u: Nikita Kucherov over 1.5 points (+115 ESPN)

Tampa Bay has finally found some footing on this road trip, winning back-to-back games with four goals in each. That momentum seems poised to continue here against a Flyers team allowing 3.7 goals per game on home ice across the last 45 days.

Nikita Kucherov is a massive reason for Tampa's scoring success of late, accounting for seven points on their eight goals in these last two games.

Kucherov now has 2+ points in three of his last four games, and wow does he love playing Philly. Kucherov has logged two or more points in nine of the last 12 meetings with the Flyers.

1u: LA-CGY & DAL-COL both teams to score 2+ goals (+115 DK)

Found under team totals, this is a combo bet of all four teams you see above all notching 2+ goals tonight. I do lean the over in both cases, but prefer to play it like so.

I expect goals in Calgary simply because both teams popped up as potential power play targets today, which is always going to help the scoring cause. The Kings are the most penalized team in hockey right now, and the Flames have a struggling PK which might be an issue against a Los Angeles power play that is humming.

When these two teams meet, goals tend to follow, with each side notching 2+ goals in nine of the past 10 meetings.

Dallas and Colorado also tend to play to high-scoring games, with each scoring two or more goals in four straight meetings. The Stars have a power play edge that helps their case, while the Avalanche should have no issues scoring against Dallas on a back-to-back.

.5u: Nick Suzuki power-play point (+154 DK)

I'm bullish on the Montreal power-play scoring a goal tonight. Arizona hands out the second-most power play opportunities per game over the past month, a problem that is made much worse when you consider the Coyotes also kill penalties at the seventh-worst rate.

Nick Suzuki has been my preference when I look at Montreal PP chances. He has seven power-play points in his past 10 games and three in his last three at home. As long as the Habs get chances, they should capitalize, and Suzuki is the most likely to get involved in the fun.
